Eddye Vanderkwaak is a consultant collaborator with True North Group. She is a child welfare professional with expertise in project management, communications strategy, digital platform management, and partnership development across human services systems. Her work focuses on advancing inclusion and opportunity for youth and families and ensuring their voices are reflected in program design, policy development, and systems reform.

 

Eddye supports initiatives from concept through execution—coordinating stakeholders, managing complex projects, and tracking measurable outcomes. She contributes to national and state policy and advocacy efforts, strengthens digital platforms, and manages communications and engagement activities, including social media and stakeholder outreach for the Journey to Success campaign. Her work helps develop engagement strategies that increase visibility and impact.

 

Previously, Eddye served as Media and Marketing Coordinator for the W. Haywood Burns Institute, Lead Organizer for Foster Youth in Action, and as a Child Protective Worker and Restorative Justice Specialist for the state of Iowa. Across these roles, she has facilitated trainings and capacity-building sessions, built cross-sector partnerships, and supported collaborative efforts to advance meaningful change for youth, families, and communities.
